The US Department of Commerce allocates $300 million to Rigetti and three other quantum computing companies

--

The US Department of Commerce has allocated up to $100 million each to Rigetti, D-Wave, and Quantianum, three quantum computing companies, through the CHIPS Act, totaling $300 million, and holds minority stakes in the three companies to advance hardware, manufacturing, and error correction system research and development for fault-tolerant quantum computers. Ethereum has set December 2029 as the deadline for implementing anti quantization, and Bitcoin developers are also pushing forward two post quantum signature migration proposals, BIP-360 and BIP-361.
