UK spends nearly $40 million to purchase SpaceX satellite services
The UK has invested nearly $40 million in SpaceX for satellite services, becoming the first country outside the US to publicly adopt Starshield military communication services. The UK Ministry of Defence has approximately 1000 Starshield terminals and 500 Starlink terminals, with the Starshield project costing $17.6 million and the Starlink project costing £ 16.5 million.
