[Nasdaq and Other Institutions Urge EU to Remove or Raise Tokenized Securities Pilot Cap]
Nasdaq, Stuttgart Stock Exchange, Adan, Crypto Council for Innovation, and the European Ethereum Institute have sent a letter to the European Council and European Parliament, urging the removal of the cap on tokenized securities platform size or raising the cap from €100 billion to at least €1.5 trillion. The institutions believe the current cap restricts market development, noting that some European projects have already reached a scale of €350 billion and plan to expand further. The letter opposes differentiated restrictions between central securities depositories and other blockchain market operators and suggests that if the cap is retained, the European Commission should be allowed to adjust it as the market evolves, without setting a fixed maximum limit.
