Jason Smith, Chairman of the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee, announces 114 page crypto tax bill Digital Asset Tax Certainty Act H.R. 10357, The committee review is scheduled for 22:00 on September 16th (UTC+8). The bill cancels the tax on network or transaction fees below $10, but users who have made more than 5000 transfers in the previous year are not eligible for this exemption, and high-frequency traders and automated strategies must fully declare. The bill includes provisions related to small transactions, profit and loss accounting, transfers, washout rules, mining, staking, and broker requirements, and applies washout and presumed sale rules to digital assets, except for qualified US dollar stablecoins.
