The US House Committee has passed the US Bitcoin Reserve Act through a partisan vote.

Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan stated that the cryptocurrency bull market is not entirely dependent on the Clarity Act. The Clarity Act received 49 votes in the Senate procedural vote, falling short of the 60 vote threshold. Since July 1st, the price of Bitcoin has risen from around $57950 and surpassed $80000 in early September. The Federal Reserve raised the target range for the federal funds rate by 25 basis points to 3.75% to 4%, and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority subsequently raised the benchmark rate by 25 basis points to 4.25%. The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Yu Weiwen, stated that the currency and financial markets in Hong Kong continue to operate in an orderly manner, and the widening interest rate differential between Hong Kong and the United States may weaken the Hong Kong dollar. Banks will assess adjustments to deposit and loan interest rates, and Hong Kong citizens need to manage interest rate risks when making decisions to purchase, invest, or borrow. Michael McGlon, a commodities strategist at Bloomberg, said that the yields of gold, Bitcoin and the 10-year US treasury bond bonds face key resistance levels of $4500/oz, $80000 and 5% respectively. Gold and crypto assets peaked after breaking through US $5000 and US $100000, both of which have recently rebounded from important support positions near US $4000 gold and US $60000 BTC. [Revolut Targeted by Hacker Group for Ransom, Italian Authorities Launch Investigation] Hacker group IAmNotAVillain demanded that Revolut pay 6,000 XMR (approximately $3 million) within 24 hours, threatening to sell customer data if the demand is not met. Another group, Revolut Smilik, demanded 10,000 Bitcoin (approximately $780 million). A Revolut spokesperson stated that the company has not received any direct contact or ransom demands. Italy's Anti-Mafia and Counterterrorism Bureau has launched an investigation, and Italian prosecutors are investigating unauthorized access to government computer systems.
