Deutsche Bank: If market expectations are accurate, this round of Fed rate hikes may be the shallowest in modern history

--

The Deutsche Bank report points out that if the market's expectations for the Fed raising interest rates three more times before the middle of next year are accurate, this round of rate hikes will become the shallowest in modern history. Historical data shows that the average cumulative tightening of the Federal Reserve's rate hike cycle is 478 basis points, while the cumulative rate hike cycle from 1986 to 1987 was 137 basis points, the smallest in current records.
