The UK FCA, together with the General Administration of Customs and the Metropolitan Police, is cracking down on illegal peer-to-peer encrypted trading venues
The UK FCA, together with HM Revenue and Customs and the Metropolitan Police, conducted surprise inspections at three suspected illegal peer-to-peer encrypted trading venues in multiple locations in London and issued notices to operators to cease operations. FCA requires operators engaged in peer-to-peer cryptocurrency trading activities in the UK to complete anti money laundering registration, and currently there are no FCA registered peer-to-peer cryptocurrency trading businesses in the UK.
