Prince Group's Hu Xiaowei's 475 million yuan London mansion frozen by the UK government

--

According to documents from the UK Land Registry, a luxury mansion located in Belgravia, London, has been subject to asset freeze. The property was purchased in October 2023 for £ 53 million, equivalent to approximately RMB 475 million, and is registered under the name of Zhao Chen, the wife of Hu Xiaowei. The British government imposed sanctions on Hu Xiaowei in March 2026, accusing him of being associated with Chen Zhi, the founder of the Cambodian Crown Prince Group, and providing financial services. The sanctions included asset freezes and travel bans. Hu Xiaowei was arrested in Osaka, Japan in June 2026, and his global assets are gradually being restricted from disposal.
