US Treasury Secretary Vincent Besant said that since the expansion of treasury bond bond repo, the 30-year yield has not risen significantly, and he would not take a position on the interest rate increase of the Federal Reserve.
The three major indexes of the US stock market collectively opened higher, with the S&P 500 index rising 0.61%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.67%, and the Nasdaq rising 0.77%. Bessent pushed back against a bearish assessment of the U.S. economy highlighting strong growth, foreign demand for American assets and continued dollar dominance.
