On September 18th (UTC+8), the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued a position granting a five-year exemption to eligible tokenized US stocks, allowing them to trade on the US chain. Tokens must have the same dividends, voting rights, and stock class rights as the underlying stock, and synthetic exposure products are not within the exemption scope. AMC Entertainment CEO Adam Aron referred to Robinhood's tokenized AMC stock as a "quasi fake market" and threatened legal action. Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev stated that listed companies do not have the authority to approve every product developed based on their stock. During the seven trading days from August 31st to September 9th, the closing price of Robinhood AMC token in the Uniswap pool had a median deviation of 0.87% from the closing price of AMC on the New York Stock Exchange, with a maximum deviation of 2.71%. This Uniswap pool carries approximately 95% of related transactions. (Source: SEC)
