Florida requests court to restrict OpenAI from developing new models, OpenAI says training has been suspended

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has requested the court to prohibit OpenAI from developing new AI models without external supervision, prohibit minors from using ChatGPT, and limit the platform from endowing chatbots with human attributes. OpenAI spokesperson Drew Pusateri stated that the company has temporarily suspended training its state-of-the-art models and will not resume until additional security measures are implemented.
