[Analyst: 10-Year U.S. Treasury Yield Rises to 6%, Bitcoin May Not Be Under Pressure]
The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield continues to climb, with some analysts predicting it could reach 6%. Markus Thielen, founder of 10x Research, pointed out that if the yield increase is driven by concerns over fiscal deficits, investors might turn to Bitcoin, which would be a positive factor. However, if the rise is due to the Federal Reserve restarting its rate hike cycle, it could lead to a repeat of Bitcoin's 64% drop in 2022. Data shows that since the end of 2023, the 10-year yield has risen by 135 basis points to 5.23%, while Bitcoin's price has doubled to approximately $86,000 during the same period. Dan Niles, founder of Niles Investment Management, noted that the U.S. fiscal deficit is about 6% of GDP, combined with large-scale financing by tech giants competing for funds with Treasury bonds, which will continue to push yields higher.
