Citigroup launches enterprise level tokenized deposit service in Japan and the United Arab Emirates

Citi announced on September 28th that it has launched its enterprise level tokenized deposit service, Citi Token Services, in Japan and the United Arab Emirates. Japanese customers can transfer funds almost instantly to accounts in established regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Singapore. Japan supports US dollars and cross-border transfers are available 24/7. Tokenized deposits are supported by bank deposits and processed on the licensed chain managed by Citigroup, without the need to open new accounts or encrypted wallets.
