Federal Reserve's Hamack said that the September US employment report showed about 29000 new jobs added, and the unemployment rate rose to 4.2%, which is in line with recent recruitment trends. On average, about 41000 new jobs were created each month in the past 12 months, which is in line with the industry's breakeven point estimate. Hamak pointed out that a large amount of information will still be received before the meeting at the end of this month, giving ample time to decide on the stance of monetary policy. (Source: Jin Shi) AI interpretation: This data clearly reflects the current situation of a balanced supply and demand in the labor market, and the slowdown in employment growth and the rise in unemployment rate jointly confirm the objective fact of economic cooling. Federal Reserve officials have confirmed the ease of policy adjustments through this data, indicating that the focus of monetary policy has shifted from simply combating inflation to dynamically balancing the job market. The market's expectation of tightening policies will weaken, and the certainty of the interest rate path will further increase.
[U.S. Federal Court Issues Preliminary Injunction to Block Illinois Regulation of Kalshi Sports Contracts] Judge Pacold of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois has issued a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit involving Coinbase, Kalshi, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul. The injunction prevents Illinois from classifying Kalshi's sports event contracts as gambling for regulatory purposes. The judge stated that Kalshi's event contracts fall under the definition of swap contracts as outlined in the Commodity Exchange Act, over which the CFTC has exclusive jurisdiction. This federal law takes precedence over Illinois' sports gambling regulations. The court has requested both parties to submit briefs regarding the dispute over fees, and a final ruling has not yet been made.

The Houthi forces disclosed that Saudi Arabia had carried out 94 airstrikes and missile attacks on Yemen in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,350. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it is prepared to respond to threats. U.S. President Trump remarked that Iran's situation is unfavorable, and the U.S. is deploying additional Patriot systems to Saudi Arabia and Qatar in preparation. Pakistan's Foreign Minister noted that political engagement with the Houthi forces will be discussed next week.
