Zcash has activated the NU7 upgrade on the test network and plans to launch on the main network on November 5th

Zcash has activated the NU7 network upgrade on the test network, which reduces the target block interval from 75 seconds to 25 seconds, disables version 4 transactions, and introduces network sustainability mechanisms. After the discontinuation of version 4 transactions, ZEC stored in the old Sprout privacy pool will no longer be usable. Zcash developers will decide on October 20th whether to proceed with the mainnet upgrade, with the mainnet activation target date set for November 5th.
