Better Markets: CFTC not suitable for regulating retail cryptocurrency trading

Better Markets states that, Commodity Futures Trading Commission（CFTC） Lack of investor protection responsibilities makes it unsuitable as the primary regulatory agency for retail cryptocurrency trading. Benjamin Schiffrin pointed out that the CFTC's statutory authority is used to address fraud in leveraged precious metal trading, and the proposed framework may allow for the formation of market participant associations that have contributed to the collapse of FTX. The CFTC has solicited public opinions on the framework for margin, leverage, or financing retail cryptocurrency trading.
