[Kalshi Launches Single-Stock Perpetual Futures Contracts for Apple, Amazon, and AMD] Kalshi has launched single-stock perpetual futures trading, with contracts for Apple, Amazon, and AMD available for trading as of November 5th. Eligible US users can use leverage to go long or short after approval, without holding the stock or rolling over the contract. As of 11:05 PM, the estimated leverage for Apple and Amazon contracts was approximately 4.96x, and for AMD, approximately 3.36x; the 24-hour notional trading volume for the Apple contract was approximately $4.61 million. Leverage levels vary depending on the stock and position size. Regulatory approvals are facing legal challenges. A US federal judge declined to provide an emergency block, but preliminarily ruled that the challengers' argument that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) lacks the authority to approve single-stock perpetual contracts as securities futures products may prevail. Binance has submitted a proposal on the Arbitrum governance forum to return 8,425,997 ETH and 74.56 million ARBs frozen on Arbitrum One to a designated address. These assets originated from the theft of Binance's hot wallet and were previously frozen by the Arbitrum security committee. Binance has pledged to cover user losses through the SAFU Fund and its corporate vault, with returned assets used to compensate for losses and costs incurred due to the incident. The proposal is currently under discussion in the forum and will subsequently undergo a Snapshot vote and on-chain governance process, which is expected to take approximately 49 days.
