Coinbase plans to launch a rebuilt version of Coinbase Pro by the end of this year, integrating cryptocurrency, stock, and options trading tools to provide faster order routing and advanced trading features for high volume users. The US retail cryptocurrency options trading program will open later this year, and eligible individual users outside the US can use the relevant features by the end of October. Coinbase has completed the integration of Deribit, and as of September 30th, the size of open Bitcoin options contracts exceeded $30 billion. Qualified spot margin users can use collateral for lending, with some assets supporting up to 10 times leverage and others supporting up to 5 times leverage. The Ethereum Glamsterdam upgrade has raised the block gas limit of the Sepolia testnet from approximately 60 million to nearly 200 million, and developers are testing higher capacity support for more payments and transactions. Early testing blocks only used 26% to 46% of their capacity. A round of voting lasting 6 minutes generated all the planned blocks and allowed 99.97% of eligible staking weights to participate in the final determination. This upgrade adjusts transaction processing costs and data access costs.
