The White House announced a research program worth over $6 billion, covering AI, quantum computing, biological research, and talent development. 11 technology companies have pledged to provide $2.4 billion worth of AI tools and computing power for the Genesis Mission, with Nvidia providing $1 billion, AMD providing $500 million, OpenAI providing $200 million, and Anthropic and Google each providing $150 million. These resources will support over 15 federal agencies in conducting scientific research. The Genesis Mission will be launched in 2025, aiming to accelerate research in fields such as energy, healthcare, and aerospace using AI, supercomputers, and government research data. In addition, the research plan also includes a $1.8 billion virtual biology program, as well as a $1 billion investment in research computing power and talent development promised by the Georgia government, businesses, and universities.
