OpenAI appoints Uday Ruddarraju as infrastructure manager, Sachin Katti as consultant

OpenAI has appointed former xAI executive Uday Ruddarraju to lead its infrastructure and computing business. Sachin Katti, the former head, will step down in the coming weeks and become a consultant. Richard Ho will be responsible for GPT Infra work. Uday Ruddarraju joined OpenAI last year and became the Chief Technology Officer of the Computing Department in July of this year. The team responsible for data center procurement, financing, and construction at OpenAI has undergone frequent personnel changes recently, and several executives related to data center construction and Stargate project have resigned.
