The United States proposed to European countries the unfreezing of part of Russia's sovereign assets and transferring them to institutions under Washington's supervision in an effort to restart peace negotiations. This proposal was raised during discussions held in Miami, attended by President Trump's peace negotiation representatives as well as officials from Ukraine, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and NATO.
