Hartnett: Bank of America's bull and bear indicators fall below the sell signal threshold, semiconductor prices are key to returning to tech stocks

--

Hartnett, a strategist at Bank of America Securities, stated that the Bank of America's bull/bear index has dropped from 8.1 to 7.4, breaking below the 8.0 threshold and ending the sell signal triggered on May 26th, but currently maintaining a defensive stance tactically. The latest weekly data shows a net inflow of $64.4 billion for stock funds and a net outflow of $53.1 billion for cash funds. Hartnett regards semiconductor prices as a key variable, and if chip prices continue to rise, investors are expected to return to technology stocks in mid November; If semiconductor prices fall, bond performance may have an advantage.
