Zipcoin has announced the closure of its project. The team stated that on October 21st, they received a notification from Railway that the project's codebase, credentials, and private keys had been compromised. Blockaid monitoring revealed that the WAX network's WAX multi-chain bridge was attacked, involving WAX, Solana, and Ethereum. The attacker withdrew mapped tokens on the WAX chain without paying for the assets, and the corresponding tokens were released through bridge contracts on Solana and Ethereum. The attacker transferred approximately 52,986 USDC, 21,558 USDT, 840 DAI, 2.55 WETH, and 0.11 WBTC in five transactions.
