Coinbase will automatically convert 14 restricted tokens held by EEA retail users that do not comply with MiCA regulatory requirements on October 30, 2026. These assets include USDT, PYUSD, USD1, DAI, PAX, GUSD, GYEN, BUST, UST, RAI, PAXG, MUSD, USDS, and TGBP. Coinbase has suspended trading of these tokens by EEA retail users. Users must withdraw their holdings to external wallets before the deadline; otherwise, any remaining balances will be converted to USDC or other supported crypto assets or fiat currency at market prices. Cryptocurrency betting platform Gamdom is facing a $15 million ransom demand from the ransomware group Whitearmor after its hot wallet was hacked. Whitearmor claims to possess a database containing 15.42 million customer accounts and has threatened to release the data. The group released a JSON sample file as evidence and claims the attack was carried out using an old internal machine account with administrator privileges.

SoFi released its Q3 financial report, disclosing its crypto product data for the first time. As of the end of the quarter, the number of crypto products reached 503,000, with total crypto trading revenue reaching $161.6 million, a 20% increase quarter-over-quarter. Net crypto trading revenue was $1.6 million. During the same period, the number of products in SoFi Invest's brokerage business increased by 37% year-over-year to 4.18 million.
