The team confirmed an inflation vulnerability in the Iron Fish blockchain, stemming from a nullifier calculation in the Merkle tree implementation code from early 2019. This vulnerability allowed attackers to repeatedly spend tokens and transfer assets out via the ChainPort cross-chain bridge. Iron Fish has submitted a patch and a recap, and will subsequently shut down and archive the code repository.
