Trump: Not in a hurry to decide whether to strike Iran; three policy stances exist within the US.
In an interview with Axios, US President Trump stated that he is in no hurry to decide whether to resume military action against Iran, claiming that the US has already dealt a severe economic blow to Iran. Trump currently faces three policy stances: Vice Presidents Vance and Witkov advocate for negotiations; Netanyahu and Hegseth advocate for resuming military strikes; and Bessenter, Ratcliffe, and Rubio advocate for maintaining maximum economic pressure. Qatari mediators have drafted a three-day, phased confidence-building plan and are awaiting feedback from both the US and Iran.
