[India's Computer Emergency Response Team Warns of CRAFTY FALCON Attack on Crypto Exchanges] India's Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has warned of an AI-assisted attack campaign called CRAFTY FALCON targeting cryptocurrency exchanges and virtual digital asset service providers. Attackers are stealing wallet keys and transferring funds. The attackers use internet-exposed test environments to gain access to systems, then use shared credentials to access production environments, and employ AI security tools to generate and refine attack scripts. Some attacks are scheduled for weekends or holidays to delay detection and response. CERT-In recommends that relevant organizations strengthen 24/7 monitoring.
