At the beginning of 2023, the Yihe New Area Branch of Linyi Public Security Bureau found an APP suspected of gambling in its work, and the flow of funds was huge. It was found that the app was developed by Mr. Zhao under the inspiration of Mr. Shi, the suspect. Mr. Shi opened multiple fund pool accounts using his own identity and his family's identity. Members used virtual currency to exchange chips in the app, and conducted online gambling by guessing the rise and fall of the virtual currency exchange rate in different periods of time. Since 2023, the public security authorities in Yihe New Area have successively captured 13 suspects including Mr. Shi and detained more than 10 million yuan of funds involved in the case. In May 2024, Shi and others were sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment by the People's Court in accordance with the law.
