[Former Stripe Crypto Head Launches Circuit & Chisel, Secures $19.2 Million Funding to Develop AI Agent Payment Protocol] According to Fortune magazine, Louis Amira, former Stripe Head of Crypto and AI Collaboration, and David Noël-Romas, former Stripe Head of Crypto Engineering, have secured $19.2 million in funding for their new startup Circuit & Chisel to develop the AI agent payment protocol ATXP. In addition to their Stripe background (and financial backing), Circuit & Chisel has also received investments from Primary Venture Partners, ParaFi, and Coinbase Ventures. The ATXP protocol is designed as the 'HTTP protocol for AI agent payments,' aiming to address the lack of standardized communication protocols between AI agents. Amira stated that if ATXP succeeds, it will unlock the potential of the microtransaction space. Under this framework, agents can autonomously acquire information and have the authority to pay small fees, such as extracting data from private LinkedIn profiles or accessing paid Fortune magazine articles, while these platforms retain the right to charge small fees.
