According to Yonhap News Agency, the Administrative Department 2 of the Seoul Administrative Court in South Korea has accepted Bithumb's application to suspend the "partial business suspension" penalty previously imposed by the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit (FIU) for six months until the verdict is announced. FIU imposed a 6-month partial business suspension (new customer external virtual asset transfer business) and a fine of 36.8 billion Korean won in March this year on Bithumb for violating the Specific Financial Information Act, stating that it was involved in 665 million illegal transactions, including obligations such as trading with undeclared virtual asset operators, customer identity verification, and transaction restrictions. The punishment was originally scheduled to take effect on March 27th.
