Vitalik Buterin: ZK payment may become a key standard in the digital economy

According to FinnceFeeds, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated in a research article that ZK payments may become an important standard for the global digital economy. He believes that in order to achieve large-scale adoption of encrypted payments, there should be a shift from "pseudonyms" to "default privacy," especially in the era of proxies. Vitalik suggests using ZK proof based transactions instead of standard transfers to ensure that users do not need to expose their balance or transaction history when verifying payment validity. He also mentioned that by using recursive SNARK and ZK APIs to integrate, the Ethereum Layer 2 solution can achieve private payments at the same speed and cost as transparent transactions.
