Twenty FTX victims from five countries or regions have filed a lawsuit against Silicon Valley law firm Fenwick&West LLP in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, seeking $525 million in damages, accusing them of aiding in the cover up of FTX fraud and helping to maintain a 'legal appearance'. The lawsuit alleges that Fenwick, while providing legal services, designed corporate structure and operational arrangements, resulting in the misappropriation of client funds and reduced regulatory risks. The plaintiff has filed seven charges, demanding compensation for losses, return of legal fees, and seeking punitive damages against the relevant partners.
