Forsage co-founder extradited to US, denies telecom fraud allegations

The US Department of Justice announced that Olena Oblamska, a Ukrainian co-founder of Forsage, was extradited from Thailand to the United States last week and appeared in federal court in Oregon, pleading not guilty to charges of "conspiracy to commit telecommunications fraud". The prosecutor accuses Forsage of carrying out a Ponzi scheme under the name of the Ethereum blockchain "smart contract" project, involving an amount of approximately 340 million US dollars. The jury trial of the case is expected to begin on July 14, 2026, and if convicted, the maximum sentence is 20 years of federal imprisonment.
