Iran requires ships to submit information before passing through the Strait of Hormuz

According to CNN, Iran's Persian Gulf Strait Authority has issued a document requiring all vessels crossing the Strait of Hormuz to fill out an information declaration form, including vessel name, identification number, country of origin, destination, owner, operator, crew nationality, and cargo details, and submit it via email. The document states that incomplete or incorrect information will be the responsibility of the applicant. It is currently unclear whether any shipping companies have applied for passage permits.
