IOTA announces the first implementation of ADAPT plan in Kenya and three other countries IOTA announced that Kenya, Morocco, and Nigeria have become the first countries to implement the ADAPT program, scheduled to launch in November 2025. The plan is led by the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area, developed in collaboration with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, the World Economic Forum, and the IOTA Foundation, aiming to build a digital infrastructure for intra African trade, including digital identity, cross-border data exchange, and payment interoperability. The three countries will also test digital currency regulatory frameworks to provide support for cross-border settlements.
