Keyrock: AI agent completes 176 million transactions in one year
According to Cointelegraph, Keyrock reported that AI agents have settled $730 million through 176 million transactions in the past 12 months. The report points out that traditional payment channels cannot support transactions of about $0.3 per transaction, and stablecoins have become the settlement layer of machine commerce, with over 98% using Circle's USDC, but relying on a single stablecoin issuer poses systemic risks. At the end of the first quarter, there were over 104000 agent registrations, with an average transaction size of approximately 0.31 US dollars. The CEO of Circle once predicted that billions of AI agents would use stablecoins for operations within five years.
