Speaking from personal experience, before starting, GPT actually told me not to worry about losing desire. And it turned out to be true—it just reduces abnormal impulses toward desire. For example, you won’t feel hungry all day, but when you want to eat something you think is delicious, you’ll still eat it and still find it tasty. You just won’t binge or eat randomly because of excessive hunger. Of course, this is just my personal experience.
