Crane Zeng reports that US users contribute significantly to offshore forecasting market trading volume
According to a report by consulting firm Crane Zeng, the trading volume of US users in the offshore forecasting market is approximately $11 billion to $34 billion, accounting for 12.5% to 31.5% of the total trading volume in the US forecasting market. Among them, Polymarket contributed $11 billion to $27 billion in trading volume on a single platform. The report predicts that by 2030, the annual trading volume of US users in the offshore forecasting market will reach $133 billion. The market is predicted to grow rapidly in the past two years, with Kalshi and Polymarket as the main representatives. The US CFTC's attitude towards the domestic forecasting market is becoming more relaxed, but unlicensed offshore platforms are prohibited from providing services to US users. Polymarket was banned from operating in the United States in 2022 due to unregistered service to American customers.
