Early financing in the cryptocurrency market has declined for seven consecutive quarters, with investors leaning towards mature projects

According to CryptoRank data, early-stage financing in the cryptocurrency market has continued to weaken, with a 63% decrease in the number of financing rounds and a 50% decrease in financing amounts since the second quarter of 2024. As of the second quarter of 2026, the current financing amount is $290 million, with 63 financing rounds, which is the lowest level in the statistical period. The financing amount for the third quarter of 2025 is 645 million US dollars, with 103 financing rounds. CryptoRank points out that the gap between early and late stage financing continues to widen, and investors are increasingly inclined towards larger and more mature projects.
