Karma3 Labs announces cessation of operations, remaining capital will be returned to investors

Karma3 Labs founder Sahil Dewan announced on X platform that the company and its OpenRank protocol will be closed and cease development. The remaining capital will be returned to investors, and all code, protocols, documentation, and learning materials will be open sourced. The GitHub repository will be archived and permanently made public. OpenRank has generated reputation ratings for over 10 million on chain users, facilitated incentive allocation of over $50 million, and supported over 50 integrations. Sahil Dewan stated that the team was unable to find a company form that can generate compound interest growth. The core lesson is that the right topic will not automatically translate into scalable business, and infrastructure needs to be anchored in users' existing workflows.
