Two Texas brothers armed with guns kidnapped and forced victims to transfer $8 million worth of cryptocurrency assets, have pleaded guilty

Isiah Angelo Garcia and Raymond Christian Garcia from Waller City, Texas, USA, have pleaded guilty to the charge of armed kidnapping. On September 19, 2025, two people broke into a house in Grant City, Minnesota, threatening and binding the entire family with guns for over 8 hours, forcing their father to transfer over $8 million in cryptocurrency assets. After the victim's son called the police, the two fled and were later arrested in the Houston area. The two pleaded guilty in Minneapolis federal court to the charge of interfering in business by robbery, each facing up to 20 years in prison, and agreed to pay over $8 million in compensation. The sentencing date has not yet been determined.
