Wang Yi stated at the BRICS High Representative Meeting on Security Affairs held in New Delhi that the recent first phase memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran has undermined regional and international stability. Wang Yi pointed out that crisis resolution must follow international rules, and respecting national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-interference in internal affairs are the international bottom line. Wang Yi advocates the establishment of a new security concept, emphasizing the interdependence of all countries, and pursuing absolute security will backfire. Wang Yi mentioned that recent conflicts have made information and cyber warfare more open, and traditional and non-traditional threats are intertwined. BRICS countries should strengthen security dialogue and cooperation.
