Thailand issues arrest warrant for Wang Yicheng suspected of involvement in cross-border cryptocurrency fraud

According to the New Straits Times, Thailand has issued an arrest warrant for Chinese businessman Wang Yicheng on suspicion of involvement in cross-border cryptocurrency investment fraud. Thailand accuses Wang Yicheng of participating in a criminal network that uses illegal cryptocurrency mining to launder money, with funds coming from fraud and online gambling. A spokesperson for the Thai Special Investigation Agency told Reuters that the suspect is believed to have fled Thailand, and Thai authorities are cooperating with international counterparts to pursue Wang Yicheng.
