Donald Trump Jr.'s stake in Kalshi generates book profits as the company's valuation increases
According to FT, Donald Trump Jr. acquired approximately $300000 worth of Kalshi equity when he joined the predictive market platform Kalshi as a strategic advisor in early 2025, at a time when the company was valued at less than $2 billion. Kalshi's financing valuation rose to $22 billion last month and is currently in talks to raise funds at a valuation of approximately $40 billion as early as the third quarter of this year, generating book profits from Donald Trump's equity holdings. Donald Trump Jr. did not contribute his own capital at the time, and his shares have been diluted in Kalshi's subsequent issuance.
