Russia launches Arctic Express tanker to transport sanctioned Arctic LNG 2 project natural gas
A Arctic Express oil tanker, which was put into operation in 2007, loaded natural gas at the Sam floating gas storage facility in the Murmansk region of Russia. The facility stores natural gas from the Arctic LNG 2 project, both of which are subject to US sanctions. Tracking data shows that at least 21 ships were used to transport LNG from sanctioned Russian projects.
