Michigan judge issues temporary restraining order, prohibiting Kalshi from providing sports event prediction services

According to Reuters, Judge Rosemarie Aquilina of the Ingham County Circuit Court in Michigan has issued a temporary restraining order at the request of Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, prohibiting the prediction market platform Kalshi from providing sports event prediction services to residents in the state. If Kalshi fails to implement geographical location restrictions, a fine of $120000 will be imposed for each day of violation.
