Aztec has completed the development of v5 protocol upgrade code and is about to enter the governance proposal stage
The privacy L2 project Aztec has completed the development of v5 protocol upgrade code and is about to enter the governance proposal stage. This upgrade covers core areas such as block construction, proof of performance, penalty mechanisms, privacy protection, and node APIs, integrating a total of 13 AZIPs. The upgrade deployment process is the same as v4, with governance voting conducted by token holders and taking effect after execution delay. Node operators can deploy V5 nodes in advance and put them in standby mode, which will automatically activate after the upgrade is executed.
