The UK Competition and Markets Authority plans to regulate Apple and Google, relax traffic restrictions, and open up NFC

The UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has announced a public consultation on new regulatory measures targeting Apple and Google's mobile platforms. Propose to prohibit Apple and Google from restricting UK app developers from directing users to complete payments or transactions outside the app store, and require that traffic fees follow fair and reasonable principles. CMA also solicited opinions on the implementation of NFC technology and charging mechanism for Apple iOS.
