The new regulations for cryptocurrency ATMs in Tennessee and Georgia, USA, will take effect on July 1st
According to Cointelegraph, new regulations for cryptocurrency ATMs in Tennessee and Georgia took effect on July 1st, with Tennessee implementing a comprehensive ban and Georgia requiring transaction limits and reporting obligations. Indiana implemented a ban in March, and Minnesota will implement a similar ban on August 1st. Prior to the ban taking effect, Tennessee had approximately 185 encrypted ATMs and vending kiosks in operation. Several governments have taken action due to frequent incidents of residents being lured by fraudsters to transfer money through encrypted ATMs. Legislators in Delaware and New Jersey have proposed similar comprehensive bans.
