Sandeep: Polygon network achieves annual net deflation, with POL destruction exceeding 107 million pieces

Polygon founder Sandeep stated that from 2026 to present, Polygon has added approximately 105.2 million POL castings and destroyed approximately 107.7 million POL, exceeding the newly issued amount. The Polygon network has achieved annual net deflation. Sandeep added that the decrease in POL supply is due to the destruction of basic fees caused by Polygon's high transaction volume as a payment chain. In May, Polygon processed more transactions than other public chains, with a monthly transaction volume of 198 million.
